Shhh! Our Secret Weapon vs Steelers!

Stay connected for news and updates

This week we crushed the "projected number 2 AFC team" buffalo bills. While the Bills aren't generally considered an elite team, they certainly did improve during the off-season. Just that the Jets came out with a chip on their shoulder, after the media blasting them the whole off-season. I would say that the Bills don't suck, they just aren't the best in respects to the rest of the NFL

With that said, we beat a decent football team, however next week we face a GOOD (if not great) football team in the Steelers. Different team all together, with a good defense (even if they are older) and a versatile QB leading an offense with good weapons in the WR core and RBs. Can we meet the challenge?

Tough competition lies ahead in the Steelers. But we have a secret weapon, (well maybe not really that much secret) and that's Peyton Manning! No we didn't just give up all of our draft picks to trade him over, but we have something almost as valuable; Game Tape!

Peyton Manning has given us the Keys to defeating the Steelers. Tempo! Something that Sparano has been trying to drill into our offense since training camp started. A revamped Jets O has shown with the buffalo game that if they can get on the same page we can do great things. I am not saying by any means that the Jets will score nearly 50 points on the Defensive powerhouse that is the Men of Steel. But I am saying that we can Beat 'em.

Peyton did something that the Jets are more than capable of doing. Namely: No huddle offense! After watching a few Bronco possessions, Peyton was mixing it up with the no huddle Offense, (lots of HB Draws and Mid-range passes) keeping the Steelers D constantly on their Toes and very little time to rest between plays. This Gave the Broncos an edge in the offense, something that Peyton most certainly took advantage of. Audibles and mid to deep range passes eventually opened up because of the run game that was constantly pounded along with the No huddle offense.

The 31-19 Broncos victory was because of adequate game planning. And what better person to Game-plan than Peyton Manning. Am I saying Sanchez is like Peyton? Hellz no! But I think if we can find some of the things that can be mimicked from that game, the Jets will gain the respect from not only demolishing the "2nd best AFC team" but also beating a playoff caliber team the following week.

It is Go TIME!
