During Training Camp Tim Tebow has heard the cheers and he has heard the jeers. However he may have faced one of his toughest challenges talking to ESPN's Stephen A Smith and Ryan Ruocco. I know I find it hard even listening to the inane ramblings of Stephen A Smith, so to actually have to talk with him? well I think I'd rather sit down with Mike Francesa.
So I'm just going to link you to the story which is HERE. You can hear responses to such questions as:
I don’t have confidence in the way you throw the football. To that you say what?
How can you root for Mark Sanchez, but at the same time want to take his job? Isn’t that contradicting yourself?
However the question and answer that interested me:
What role are you going to play this season?
"That’s a good question and I’m going to be 100% honest: I am not sure. I think for me it is whatever I am being asked to do I do with all my heart. I try to do a great job at it. We are in day four, so just continuing to learn and we are continuing to learn. The coaches are learning us, learning the offense, learning installs, so it’s so early in the process that I have to say I can’t give you a straight answer on that."
It's really not surprising at all. You have an athlete without a starting role. You find ways to get certain players on the field. However it doesn't just happen overnight, you can put as much down on paper as you like, but until you get out there and try these things live in the field you just don't know. A lot of anit-Jets media will use this to fuel the whole, he was brought in for Marketing and Advertisement. He doesn't have a defined role yet, but there are so many options for how to use him I'm confident that Rex and Tony will come up with some real special plays.
