Evening folks, I hope you enjoyed the quick shout out that Mark Sanchez gave the site earlier. Well now we have a little more content from our man in the middle of the huddle as SB Nation asks Mark Seven cutting questions:

Mark looks really focused this year, he seems extremely confident with the new offensive scheme implemented by Tony. I don't think there will be a more interesting topic this year than Sanchez under a new offensive coordinator. A lot of people place the blame for his struggles on the previous offensive scheme, now that things are simplified and the pressure is being put more on the shoulders of the ground and pound system.

Sanchez mentions having a 'true offensive identity' which I thought we were missing last year. I had no idea what we were really doing last year and I cover the team 24/7. He also called the offense explosive which is interesting, as that is definitely not something people would have tied to the Jets last year, outside of the explosive implosion of the game in Miami. However I think Joe McKnight will have a bigger impact this year and Stephen Hill will definitely stretch the field for an explosive combination with Sanchez, Holmes and Keller.

The pieces are there, but like Sanchez says it's about getting over the hump.
