In what's become a day of news for the Jets, it is now being reported that LaRon Landry, Demario Davis, and Jordan White will begin training camp on the physically-unable-to-perform (PUP) list. Landry (achilles) and White (fractured foot) are no surprise, and both expect to be ready for the start of camp. Landry and Rex have said before that he would be limited at the start of camp.
Davis, however, is a bit of a surprise. He apparently has a bit of a strained hamstring, which if I recall correctly happened during the organized team activities, but those heal with time. It sounds no different than when Darrelle Revis suffered a hamstring injury two years ago. I wouldn't be too concerned with it, unless it lasts into the regular season and becomes a nagging injury. In any case, all of the players can be removed from the list whenever they are healthy. If they stay on the list into the season, they cannot be removed before game six. We all have high expectations for these players, Landry and Davis in particular, but they should all be good by the time the regular season rolls around.
