Every year we have conversations about good we are going to for the season that is before us. We have debates about if we are good enough to make the leap to win the SB. All of of us are die hard fans but when it comes to the NYJ, we all are lump into usually 1 of 2 categories: Pessimist or Optimistic.
Being pessimistic means that you are the type of person that always expect negative outcomes from our beloved team. Its nothing wrong with being pessimistic because after all these years of disappointment. It seems like accepted norm that the NYJ crash and burn every year. Pessimism is the best way to minimize the pain from the team crashing and burning for the season. If you expect the expect, nothing would come as a surprise.
Being a optimistic like myself means that every year you expect team to make that leap. You start making big predictions, trash talking and feeling like we going to win the SB even though the previous just have ended already. Whats wrong with being optimistic is that in reality, it can come off as denial. The signs could be in our face that we might not be very good in that particular year but optimist don't want to see or hear it.
Since I'm a optimist, I expect us to go on a war path to prove a point this year and shut everybody. I'm sticking to my bold predictions. I just want us to silence all the haters and so-called analysts that continue feel like we never going to accomplish anything. Do anyone realize that the “Same Ol' Jets” mantra has disappeared largely from the minds of most people. The reason it has because we are so close to putting it all together. Opposing fans and teams knows this. No matter how the Front Office drafted over the years. Overall, we have good players and coach that is shoring up his staff to make up for those deficiencies at certain positions. All it takes is one or two players to play or par with the rest of the team so we can become a complete team.
Now for the poll. Let me know which are are you!
