Everything that occurs between Sanchez and Tebow seems to be news, but I don't find this surprising. It's more off-season football work, it's also a time for quarterbacks and receivers to get in sync. Sanchez is our guy, but Tebow will be throwing a football this year, so it makes perfect sense for him to want to get some work in with the receivers.
Sanchez was the one to extend the invitation to Tebow, which is a nice move by the signal caller. Everyone seems to want to drive a wedge between the two players and create controversy. At the end of the day they are teammates who are looking to work together to improve the Jets:
Third string Quarterback Greg McElroy will also attend the camp this summer:
"It’s just so important to spend time together as much as possible," said third-string quarterback Greg McElroy, who will be attending the week-long camp for the second consecutive summer. "It’s a good opportunity for us to get out of our element and do something social as a group with the benefit of working and great weather. It’s really a good time for us. It’s a lot of football and a lot of fun."
