Mayhem is looking ripped up. Hopefully he hasn't loss any speed and will wreak havoc this year at OLB. Very happy with the defense make up and reading today that Revis was impressed with 3rd pick Demario Davis. Not so thrilled with news that Thomas pulled a fast one on the Jets with his shoulder injury. I don't think he will be on the roster come Septemeber.
Now with Wilkerson, Coples and Pouha manning the DL I think they will make the biggest leap this year because of hiring of Karl Dunbar. The Jets had a coach that was a Safety coaching the defensive line. This was a head scratcher for me. Dunbar will have these guys getting after it and comes to the Jets with a solid reputation from Minnesota. K. Ellis will have a full training camp to great some reps this year and hopefully show what he can do. Be a space eating mobile NT.
The secondary with the Revis pending holdout is a worry but this will be a big year for Cromartie and Wilson for different reasons. Cromartie will be targeted more as always so I would like to see the old Cro the one that was a ballhawk. He has too much talent to be single digits in interceptions. Wilson will have to take a huge leap this year or he could be pushed off the roster. The guy has a world of talent and needs to show it because we will have to know for sure is he a nickel back or a potential replacement at CB. The safeties to me is still a problem. I didn't like either signing of Landry and Bell. Landry not showing up for OTA's and often injured. We already had something similar is leonhard who I really liked but he was just to small and slow. Bell never impressed when with Miami. I just thought the Jets could have addressed the position better. After seeing Gronk and Hernandez and every other TE running roughshot across the middle of the Jets defense last year and a slow Eric Smith always trailing.
