This is a period of little activity for most of the NFL but for some players, their journey is just beginning. I like to look at possible players who are brought in as walk ons to training camp. Most will surely not make it, but some may become practice squad regulars who contribute in their own way and are there for emergency depth. A few lucky ones may get a chance to become New York Jets (or at least show something to another team who is interested).
There was a long list of people invited to the Jets rookie camp and I have been looking at a few players who may surprise us. I am starting with the skill players. The first player I tried to find out about was Pushaun Brown, a running back from the University of Maine. He is 5'10 and 210 lbs. His tape shows him playing small schools so it is difficult to judge be he seem to do a lot of things well. He runs over people and catches balls too. He could be another useful piece in our offense or he may not make the team. What do you think? check out the link for some game footage.
