John B is Revis!

Stay connected for news and updates

We all know how good John B. is at what he does, and how much we love his stuff here at GGN. But it would appear that in the eyes of a rival Jets Blog, John B has taken it to the next level. Join me after the Jump to explore the Revis side of John B.

A writer for TheJetsBlog by the name of John Barker today posted an article about Terrance Ganaway. Mr. Barker's article was quite positive about Mr. Ganaway's prospects, suggesting we got quite a steal in the 6th round of the 2012 Draft. You can read the full article here: http://www.thejetsblog.com/2012/05/26/terrance-ganaway-is-anyone-else-really-high-on-this-guy/

But as high as he was on Ganaway, his praise for the 240 running back from Baylor pales in comparison to the well deserved compliment he paid to our own John B. Given Mr. Barker's name, a commenter on his article asked the innocent question of whether Mr. Barker was in fact the incomparable John B of GGN. Mr. Barker's answer is classic, as the following excerpt reveals:

I think John B’s name is John Butchko.

He is actually the managing editor there, so as I said the other day, for us to hire him as a staff writer would be like the Giants signing Revis to be a punt gunner.

So there it is -- John B, the RevisChrist of Jets Bloggerdom. Congratulations John. In the eyes of Jets fans, you have reached a pinnacle the rest of us can only dream about.

And my apologies to all who think this should have been a Fanshot instead of a Fanpost. Given the current offseason doldrums, and the richly deserved praise for John B, I did not want to bury this in Fanshot World where many fear to tread.
