The Jets used their third round pick, 77th overall on Demario Davis, a linebacker from Arkansas State. They somewhat surprisingly passed on Ole Miss' Bobbie Massie, a big run blocking tackle who fell a bit. Davis was on the All Sun Belt team at Arkansas State.

Davis flashed excellent combination of speed and strength at the Combine. He ran the 40 yard dash at 4.52 and bench pressed 32 reps. The Jets have loved their workout phenoms so far in the 2012 Draft. He is strongest against the run. He is weaker in coverage. The Jets will try to improve that. He certainly has the speed to stay with tight ends, which is something the Jets could surely use in a linebacker.

That probably concludes the night for Gang Green. The Jets do not have a fourth or a fifth round pick. Their next pick is 187 in the sixth round. They own three sixth rounders and two seventh rounders on Saturday..
