"I'm in meetings all day". I can't think about anything else. The trade up conversation is getting into Ludicrous Speed. Its turned uo to 11. The Ingram-Coples-Upshaw debate is fascinating. I'm still stuck on RT, though.
There are a lot of guys here who are really astute about analyzing players. I have read some comments that have supported Hunter and Ducasse. What I want to know is, am I missing something? I'm not a professional, I don't think I have any special scouting skills. I'm just a knucklehead fan and watch games because I can't help loving the Jets. I've probably watched every play the Jets have run for at least 30 years. Usually twice. Sometimes 3 times.
I don't get it. How can the team say that they're OK with Hunter/Ducasse. Can they be taken at their word? Really? How can so many smart fans here be so little concerned that they are OK with the team not taking an OLineman until the 5/6/7 round?
Hunter can not pass block. He gives away too much space because he's worried about giving away the edge. So he gets beaten, not only around the edge, but on inside moves as well. I don't think his run blocking is particularly good either. Ducasse to me is just a total non-athlete. He walks around knock-kneed like he's an apple on a stick. His first step is so slow that DLinemen are past him before he even reacts. When the Jets were forced to put him in last year, they couldn't wait to get him out again because Sanchez might get killed. Hey the Jets took a swing on him and they missed. Every GM has a bust or 2. But now its time to move on. How can this guy be our primary backup?
I have heard - over and over again - that the Jets should take a pass rusher at 16. OK, you convinced me, and I see it. But can the Jets really neglect RT in the first 3 rounds?
