...and I have yet to figure out why? The Free Agency period left much to be desired as far as I am concerned. I was happy with most of the coaching changes however I do not see that as a reason for the renewed confidence in an 8-8 team that has so many question marks.

Last season started off with an indication of things to come, an A. Ware sack where M. Sanchez was left flat on his back. W.Hunter gave up the first of many sacks and the weakest link again goes untouched. Previously it was "The Pass Rush" that needed help(come to think of it, it still does). The Jet safeties were among the leagues worst when J. Leonard went down, leading to the second three game losing streak of the year. The first came when N. Mangold was injured and the lack of depth at the O-Line was exposed. The Jets lost B. Edwards and with him the ability to stretch the defense. The final game of the season ended with the overpaid WR S. Holmes throwing a temper tantrum in the huddle as the clock was winding down and it was evident he would be held without a reception. Aging LB B. Scott then flips off a reporter as the season came to a close. LT is more than likely done in NY and the beat goes on...

I have been a fan of this franchise for well over 40 years. The team was built from the O-Line out, it has good coaches and a good young core of players yet something does not feel right. I feel Rex Ryan can get the job done and I also feel that M. Sanchez can be a great QB provided he has protection and targets. Initially I was not happy with the signing of T. Tebow and I published an article "The Ringless Bros. Circus" to express my displeasure. I can see how he may help the team, but I can also see how his mere presence may hurt it. I would even be tempted to trade him to Jacksonville in the upcoming draft if I could. I am not the GM however, in fact MT just may be gambling with his his job here in the event this does not work out. He must be held accountable, and with Bill Polian waiting in the wings he had better hope he hits a home run in the draft as well and shore up the holes with value free agents which will be moving very quickly after this weeks NFL draft. Fans of "Gang Green" deserve better, the long suffering has gone on long enough.
