we need to do a lot this draft. we need to get a lot of young players. we have a lot of positions to fill, and now that both michael griffen and tyvon branch were both franchized by thier teams, we most certainly need at least 2 safeties in the draft. a lot of people will disagree with me on this draft, because i am not too well informed on the subject, but i would die a happy man if this draft occured.
1. Mark Barron, S(Melvin ingram will be gone by the time he reaches us. also, there are other good not so well known pass rushers in the 2nd round)
2. Bruce Irving OLB(great speed off the edge and great intensity. if you read his life story, you would know he is a very hard worker who is turning his life around. will stay out of trouble, drama, and be a hard worker)
3. George Ilkoa S(safety problems instantly solved. we bring back jim leonard to mentor these guys, bring back pool for depth, and we have some very dangerous safeties.)
4. Vontaze Burflict ILB( i have him falling this far. he has a lot of character issues, and had a bad combine outing. i think a lot of teams will pass because of his character issues, and this is where we scoup him up. rex can keep him under control)
Now, this is where my knowledge of the draft starts to go away. after these guys, i don't know a lot about college players. so instead of name, i will say position in which we should draft. position, not player.)
5. offensive tackle
6. wr
7. wr.
(the jets will not draft a kicker or punter. nick folk was servicable, and that's all we need with tony sprano. we will be running the ball constantly. tj conley is a rookie. a full offseason with mike westhoff, he will be a very dangerous punter. i welcome all comments, and i will soon be doing a free agency post, and final roster post. LETS GO NYJETS!!!
