That's right, i said it! When you have a QB who has proven in High School, College and the NFL that he can win games, you give him the keys to the franchise. The guy is willing to do everything he can to get better and help the team win. He is the first player in the door in the morning and the last player to leave at night. He is constantly working on his game to make himself a better QB. On top of the outstanding work ethic and dedication to the football team, this guy also finds time to visit with terminally ill children.
Sorry Denver and Tebow fans, but the guy i'm talking about is Mark Sanchez
. Sanchez was 27-1 at Mission Viejo high school. He then led USC to a 12-1 record and was named Rose Bowl MVP in his only season leading the team. In the NFL, he has compiled a 27-20 regular season record in his first 3 seasons with 4 more wins coming in the playoffs against Carson Palmer
, Philip Rivers
, Peyton Manning
, and Tom Brady
all on the road. Mark Sanchez has proven that he is a winner. He has orchastrated last second comebacks when even the most die hard Jets
fans had given up. He's elevated the franchise to the point where a .500 season is seen as a complete failure. And if you think Tebow is the only guy who dedicates his time to sick children, i suggest you google "Aiden Binkley".
Now, please don't get me wrong, i actually like the Tebow trade, and look forward to having him on the field for plays designed to keep the Defense on it's toes. I like the idea of having another QB in the building that will work with Sanchez when everyone else just wants to go home and play Madden or tweet about some new gadget. I'm also looking forward to the Offense that Sparano puts on the field. Knowing what Sparano did with Pennington and Brown running the offense and wildcat, i can only see greater success with Sanchez at QB and Tebow in the wildcat/option role.
Can't wait for this season to begin.
