This 'bounty' program happens all around the league...not surprising— Damien Woody (@damienwoody) March 2, 2012
So unless you have been hiding under a rock today, details have come out that under Gregg Williams a bounty system was implemented with the Saints that rewarded players for acts like interceptions and fumble recoveries which seem to contradict the rules set out in the bargaining agreement with the salary cap. However more controversially players were rewarded for injuring players on the opposing team. Former Jet Damien Woody commented that this was a league wide issue and he was not surprised to hear this. It begs the question if the hits are within NFL tackling rules, is this right or wrong? should players be rewarded for knocking opposing players out of the game? I have my feelings on this, but first I want to hear what some of you guys think. If this is happening with the Jets, what would be your reaction?
