The Jets lost free agent safety Brodney Pool to the Dallas Cowboys today.
The Dallas Cowboys announced Thursday that they have signed the free agent safety, who spent the past two seasons with the Jets.
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said that Pool is a very athletic safety who makes a lot of plays in the passing game.
Terms were not disclosed.
It was tough not to be disappointed by Brodney's play in 2011. When he got onto the field, he blew a lot of assignments in the passing game and seemed to lose every bit of physicality he ever had as a tackler. It felt like he started to get more comfortable with the system late in 2010, but he never built on that late season success. A lot of people had high hopes when the Jets signed him two years ago, but that signing ended up being something of a disappointment for the Jets.
