I hope the Jets go for a heavy dose of defense in this draft. Our offensive needs can be addressed in FA and the
later rounds. In FA we can pick up a good RB like Brandon Jacobs, a WR like Bray, and a good RT if needed. With
Turner coming back and Vlad hopefully will be the monster we wanted, we could be OK at that position. But there
are some decent options in FA and if a good safety or OLB comes along too, then we have to take a look.
But the draft I like to see them in the first 4-5 rounds get some LB's and safeties. Get some speed back to our
defense that was one of the slowest in the NFL and we are not getting younger. I know there are some that say we
already have one of the best defenses but I beg to differ and did anyone read the article that said the Jets are one of
if not the slowest defense in the NFL? I don't count how good we look on paper. Its the game defense I saw us play
and last year we look bad many times in the pass defense with no pressure and no safeties. The opposing teams
offense every year is getting better at figuring our defense out and take advantage at our lack of speed.
Also, with good scouting and evaluation we can pick up some good players on offense and defense in the later
rounds and UDFA. Why don't we get that diamond in the rough once in awhile, instead of having the least draft
picks and the past 2-3 drafts didn't maximize our picks. The type of players that other teams say where did they
come from. I think our scouting department has been asleep at the wheel too. What you guys and gals think?
