Nice article about Sanchez and Jets Passing Game.
ESPN Insider has a nice article on the Jets and why we made the correct decision in extending Sanchez. It parallels him to the struggles Namath had in his first few years starting, and offers a suggestion on how to give Sanchez some more responsibility in order for him to step up. It then goes on to talk about the regression in Vertical Passing (throw of 11 or more yards) had in the last year. Apparently Plax was the reason why we had a regression in it , as it shows that Sanchez had more YPA to all other receivers, tight ends, and running backs than he had with Plax(he had a YPA of 7.9), even though he has a tall frame. Braylon Edwards was fantastic in this stat, having a YPA of 12.7. I personally would love to bring back Braylon and hope that he could be the '09, '10 versions of himself.
