Saw and talked to Plaxico Burress at Super Bowl and told me he wants to play for Eagles. Badly!

I don't want Plax back, and by the sounds of it he doesn't want to come back. I can't shake the feeling that Plax contributed to the problems in the locker room this year, no evidence at all just a feeling.

It always amazes me how these players think...

they have the best chance winning a ring with the Miami Heat type teams like the Eagles. That grouping of talent will continue to crash and burn from here to eternity. There is no ring to be ridden for Plax in philly. He’s also apparently an attention whore. He knows the NY / Philly rivalry questions with follow him the entire season and it looks like thats exactly what he’s gunning for.

The Eagles were 2 freak fumbles away from keeping the current champs out of the playoffs

Don’t underestimate them. They came on strong to end the year. They’re a really good squad. And they thoroughly kicked our asses.

The team is stacked. Sure

But as long as Vick continues to take the beating he took this year the team will be limited and the QB unreliable. The league won’t look to protect him like they do the Brady’s or the Mannings despite his complaining about the rough stuff and he will always miss games as a result.
I don’t sell them short as much as I have a complete lack of respect for the team and it’s QB. And beating us clearly doesn’t say much about them with how we played in that game.
I’m just saying that when a team has this undertone where players go there to win a ring because it’s a mass grouping of superstars is doomed to fail in the end. I’m not saying they won’t win games. I’m saying they wont win a ring.

I totally disagree they aren’t a miami heat team at all. They’re more like a plax….they shot themselves in the leg too much. They were a win away from fucking shit up in the playoffs. And they kicked the shit outta the jets. I don’t get why plax would go out and say something like that. Really stupid. Philly actually needs a tall guy who can catch touchdowns though..

I HATE Plaxico

Just his stupid snide snippets whenever he would talk and Im pretty positive that he is/was a major problem in our locker room as well…I hope he is completely out of the Jets plans

vick will never win a superbowl. so plax can go ahead and fit in with all the other thugs. no speed, less than average hands and a great 3 yard pass catcher… have fun. it would be kinda cool to sigh djax at the right price though

Don't know if this is true...

…but this guy Eskin is a perfect example of a guy who tries to be the news himself. According to Time, this guy once got a woman killed by her husband by sending roses to her. Loud-mouth Philly low-life.
Bottom line on Plax is that he helped in the red zone. If we can replace him with a big receiver, great, let him go. But our problems last year had to do with Tanny not addressing needs (RT and pass rush), Schotty’s crap offensive schemes and Rex’s loose coaching style. I don’t want us to say “see ya” with no back-up plan.
