New Weekly FanPost Idea:

Hey all,

hope you enjoyed your Superbowl weekend. That or were too drunk to remember. I have an idea for a new weekly Fanpost here at GGN but wanted to know what you guys thought of the idea and gauge interest in pulling this off on my own. Basically, it is a once weekly roundtable discussion of current Jets news/gossip/watercooler talk that is shared on GGN. Details are below.

Every week, a group (3-5) of us would comment on current Jets happenings and provide back and forth conversations cross-fire style with everyone able to comment and input immediately. Think of people at a bar shooting the breeze, talking about what's going on in our organization or around the NFL except you know in a FanPost. The idea is to pull many different people and commentators and put them in one place and let the discussion go where the comments on individual stories will not let us..

(Examples of this week's topics would be: reaction to SuperBowl, how we can learn from the SuperBowl, best/worst commercials, Gisele calling out the Wide Recievers, and whether or not Brady/Manning will ever reach another SuperBowl.) Again, topics will vary from week to week, and month to month depending on what's up coming.

The idea of this is to get the pulse of the commentators and to also provide an opportunity for some real dialogue on news and what were all thinking but not newsworthy enough or not front page worthy. That being said, it's mostly for the people who are part of the conversation, but we would put it on the FanPost section for others to check it out.

I'm looking at getting 3-4 weekly commentators (preferably who use GGN a lot) to get this off the ground that would be the regulars with maybe a guest commentator or a GGN writer/contributor. This would be a weekly thing, we all "meet up" at the same time and post then post our discussion once a week on the same day. If we do get enough interest, we could use a chat room (AIM lol, Facebook, or another software again depending on who joins and what we feel comfortable using.) to record the conversation and I would take it and make it into a FanPost.

So in essence, that's my idea. Basically a group discussion we put on a Fanpost. If you like it, cool. If you don't also cool. If your interested in becoming a regular commentator put it in the comments. If the mods like this idea, feel free to take it and use it. (I'lll let you take some of the credit.)
