Kenrick Ellis' Trial Postponed Until May

Ellis' trial was scheduled for tomorrow, however it has been postponed. I wish they'd just get it over with so he doesn't have this hanging over his head.

I'm no attorney, but I believe they call this, giving them enough rope, to hang themselves with.

The judge drags out the court case, to see if the perp will get in trouble again.

You're probably right

But this is what lawyers do when their clients get speeding tickets. Postpone the trial long enough and hope that everyone forgets about it…if the cop doesn’t show up, you’re automatically not guilty!

Obviously Kenrick’s case is a little different. Good luck big fella!

judges don't postpone trials

Either the DA or the defense attorney asks for a postponement. If the defense attorney does it, its usually to buy more time. If the DA does it, its probably because of lack of evidence. Both sides have to agree to what is called a continuance, then the Judge decides to grant the continuance. Anyway, this might be a good thing.

I'm no criminal attorney, but....

This case is going nowhere. Without knowing who made the application for the adjournment, you can’t say for sure, but this looks like either the prosecution knows they have no case and isn’t interested in pursuing it, or a deal is in the works.

i watch law&order, so i object.

Mr. Ellis, is not guilty, because he is going to rush up the middle and sack Brady into retirement, and we the people, will not allow such actrocious behavior from the patriots and their fan base any longer.
