Woody Speaks On Giants Win, Says Nothing To Jets Fans
A little disappointed about the lack of words to the fans...
"On behalf of the New York Jets, I would like to congratulate the Mara and Tisch families, Coach Coughlin and the entire New York Giants organization. It was a closely contested game that showcased all of the best elements that our sport has to offer. The Giants demonstrated poise and resolve in earning a hard-fought victory in Super Bowl XLVI.
"Also, I want to congratulate the Kraft family, Coach Belichick and the New England Patriots on a tremendous effort and an excellent season."

It's probably better this way...
if you think about it what would he honestly be saying to the Jets fanbase? Is he going to do the same thing that so many people have bashed Rex for…the guarantee? Is he going to just rehash the same things that he said to us before…we will look into every possible opportunity to improve this team? IMHO there was no need to pep talk us right now. We have heard the talk about making improvements why rehash it just because the Superbowl happened? It’s the Giants moment…cogratulating them was the thing to do and now it’s time for the team to actually make the moves to improve and if something new comes about then talk about that.
Of course. I was thinking of something like this though...
Dear Jets fans. The Giants win caps off a very difficult year for myself, and everyone involved with this team. Obviously we set out to win a super bowl and fell short of that. Mike, Rex and I are all ready hard at work preparing for next year, to ensure that you the fans have a team to be proud of when next season kicks off in September. No one involved with this organization accepts an 8-8 season, and we are making the changes necessary to deliver for YOU.
Thanks for sticking with us through thick and thin…
Woody
I never came here to kiss Bill Belichick's rings. I came here to win, let's put it that way. ... I'm certainly not intimidated by New England or anybody else. Rex Ryan

That would be the letter to fans,
then he could say some other statement to the press

Simon’s version sounds a lot better to me…
What’s the point of posturing, and praising Kraft and his douche crew when everyone knows damn well these two organizations absolutely HATE each other?

I hate that
I just want them to say that they are hurting too, not offer some b.s. comment and go into hibernation for the next two months

And Woody has done and end of season letter to season ticket holders for as long as I can remember
None this year, but he did do a conference call. Seriously though, how hard is it to write that letter??

Doesnt every owner congradulate the winning SB team anyway?
ESPN, Mike Francesa, NY Post, NY Daily News, Fox Sports = Propaganda

Yes,,,
People have too much time on their hands to Rip Woody for doing what all owners probably did that same night. No one cares if the dolphins owner congratulates the Giants, its a bigger story here since Woody sees the Giants owners all the time and they are our rivals

I don't mind him congragulating the Giants
I mind him not saying anything to the Jets fans after the season
