Draft Prospect, AJ Jenkins WR, Illinois

AJ Jenkins vs Northwestern 2011.avi (via 817BigTex)

This is AJ Jenkins people, Take notice the guys going to be a beast.

Star-divide

AJ Jenkins WR, Illinois

6'1 195lbs, 4.4 forty

2011 stats - 90 rec, 1276 yrds, 14.2 avg, 8 TD's

Let me say this, in another year this guy would be a lock for at least the 2nd round. There is one guy he reminds me of from last years draft and that is Denarius moore who was drafted by the raiders. They both have similar speed and size, and both have excellent hands. Moore was a guy i was big on last year and now Jenkins has my attention in his place.

I first came across him when i was looking at Illinois videos for Whitney mercilus and i just kept noticing this WR who kept making plays. He runs good routes, not great routes but good. He may need some work in this area but that can all be coached up. What he does have is great speed and excellent hands, he also seems to be a smart player on the field. There were a couple of times i noticed that he saw his QB in trouble and the play was failing, he broke off his route and came back to find the ball for a small gain leading to a 1st down.

He's projected between the 3rd and 5th round for god knows what reason. This kid has bags of talent. This is the year to pick up one or two WR's in the draft because this class is stacked and Jenkins isn't even rated in the top 20 by the 'experts'.

I would be freaking ecstatic if we got this guy in either the 3rd or fourth because i think he's going to be a stud.

It's a GREAT draft for receivers

it’s ridiculous how many good receiver prospects there are.

He is a Solid Looking Prospect

I wouldn’t be unhappy with him at all. He has good size and speed.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years." Alexander Tyler

Love that he catches the ball with hands

I like this kid a lot….also like Joe Adams from Arkansas….check out this crazy punt return:

I take...

…T. Streeter over him. UM had problems but this WR was not one of them and add him to our roster and he becomes even better.

jets fan from illinois

this guy is a stud. i have seen him play about 30 times live and he is quick, physical, catches with the hands. not saying he will be jerry rice but he has just as much potential as holmes. if we somehow get an extra 2nd rd pick i would not hate taking him there
