ESPN New York Reports

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan told ESPNNewYork.com Friday that Sanchez and Holmes have discussed the possibility of taking an entire weekend to hash out their differences -- a couple's getaway, NFL style.

"I'm not sure if they're going to or not, but that's something they mentioned," Ryan said before a promotional appearance at Super Bowl XLVI. "I'm not sure where it would be or anything like that. I know they had mentioned that to me."

They'll make a lovely couple.

And bring along Dr. Joyce Brothers and Oprah for support.

Words are just words but there seems to be a centralized message in Jetsville

As an outspoken supporter of Rex, i like to think he took a large role role in reestablishing what the identity of playing like a Jet! That the focus above all should be winning a championship at all cost! Time will tell….

Sadly that's the perfect title for this.

I’m sure they’ll work everything out and be good buddies until Opening Day when Holmes is open and Sanchez doesn’t find him. Then Santonio will complain and it will start all over. Holmes is a jerk and that won’t change.

Typically I'll come up with some smartass comment about our favourite honeymooners.

Let’s face it though, after this dsfunctional relationship imploded late last season, there is no way this makes anything worse (things can’t really get worse).

Divorce isn’t an option, both players are almost certainly coming back in 2012. So what this leaves us with is a weekend where it would seem the only effect can be positive. Though of course, a couple of games with 2 or 3 receptions for Tone would almost certainly burn any bridges built here.

Lol not too sure about this since...

Mark is linked to be going out with kate upton AND having “flings” with kim kardashian. But it’s good to hear sanchez and holmes are working things out.

Let's Make sure we play like the f***in NEW YORK JETS
and not some f***in slapd**k team!

Tone would definitely be an upgrade over Kim K.

Yuck!

Maybe the whole fight was over Kim K

Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.

Kim K is a selfish, no talent, man craving bimbo. Stay away mark.

What the fudge is the dysfunction?

I am waiting to hear whether Sanchez used the N-word or something? Did Holmes say Sanchez sucks? I mean whats the fudging problem?

by CervezaVerde on Feb 3, 2012 4:44 PM EST reply actions

Holmes wanted the football, Sanchez didn’t get the football to him enough. I really think it is as simple as that, which is why i think it’s easy to fix.

How Gay (Not That There's Anything Wrong With That!) LOL

Now where is that Seinfeld link?

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years." Alexander Tyler

What is so gay about two guys going on a romantic weekend retreat

in order to talk about their feelings and knock down the obstacles keeping their relationship blooming? I just wish I could be there to see it all go down.

This is just not something 2 straight guys go and do.

I was being sarcastic but now that I think about it

what’s more homoerotic than men jumping all over one another while wearing tight pants? They smack each other on the booty, hug, cry and shower up together.
And don’t let me get into those guys in MMA.
So really going to a retreat doesn’t seem so gay after all.

As a guy who enjoys watching MMA...

…Yeah you can’t really argue against that. But the funny thing to me is that it really seems to be women that can’t get past the homoerotic angle on it.

That could explain why I like MMA so much….well and there is also the enjoyment of seeing men get knocked the eff out.

What else is there to say but LOL

Good to see them try to work things out, but Tone and Sanchez going on a “couples retreat” weekend blows my mind. I’d love to watch the sitcom.

This sounds ridiculous

I never came here to kiss Bill Belichick's rings. I came here to win, let's put it that way. ... I'm certainly not intimidated by New England or anybody else. Rex Ryan
