Potential Sleeper Pick: Tommy Streeter, WR, U of Miami

[HD] Touchdown Tommy Streeter (via The305MiamiCanes)

Tommy Streeter at 6'4 tall and 215 pounds is an good mid round pick that may surprise many teams. He reminds me of a young Plaxico Burress. According to CBSSports, Streeter runs an unofficial 4.49 40 time. He would be a great mid round pickup if we decide to go WR in the 3rd or 4th. If he hold or beats his current 40 time. I guarantee his draft stock will rise. His height and good hands would make very good receiver for our offense. We wouldn't need to bring Braylon back.

One of my favorite picks in the draft

Really think the kid has all the tools to make something of himself. I’d happily get him in round 3 with no complaints

There are a LOT of good mid round receiver prospects this year

and the jets looked at quite a few at the senior bowl. I’ll be pretty surprised if we don’t take at least one.

Hmmmm

He is a guy that really intrigues me. Its just weird to me that someone his height, weight, speed, and someone as productive as him at legit 1-A school does not get the type of notoriety that these other receivers are getting. Maybe its because he is leaving early (i think?). But yeah if he’s there in the 3rd or 4th shoot i say go for it.

in my mock,

i have the jets picking him in the 4th. of course, i dont know when we pick in the 4th yet. He should still be there if we pick in the top half of the 4th

these are my picks

1st-16, Mark Barron SS Alabama
2nd- 47, Bobby Wagner OLB Utah State
3rd-78, Nate Potter OT Boise State
4th- Tommy Streeter WR Miami
5th- Rhett Ellison TE USC
6th- Janzen Jackson FS McNeese state
7th- Darius Flemming OLB Notre Dame

I think we could trade back a few picks in the first to get Barron and pick up another 6th rounder, but if we didn’t, it would be ok

this is actually my first ever mock draft, so I’m probably way off

Agreed !

I think we should trade back two 20 if courtney upshaw isn’t there at 16 … And I hope they draft Tommy Streeter in the third the dude will be a player …. Jimmy Graham any body , From the U !!

I Think He's Such a Sleeper

that he’s comatose. He may develop into a stud, but I think the chances are that he’ll turn out to be a dud. I wouldn’t touch him higher than the 5th round. There are lots of good, tall WRs in this draft who are also fast. The Jets should definitely take one, but I prefer the Robinson kid from AZ or ASU.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.
