I left the Monday Night Miracle early, at the end of the 3rd quarter.
But I have an excuse!
I was in 8th grade, it was a school night, and my brother was even younger. He was in 3rd grade at the time. My parents were doing what most parents would do, especially when the team was down 30-7 after three quarters.
At least you admit it. I don’t think a lot of people would admit that they left such an epic game.

The bad news in Cimini's article about the rollover...
…is that if the cap is $120 million for 2012, he calculates the Jets have already committed $128 million in dollars for the season, and the rollover would allow us to just squeeze under the cap. If the cap is $128 million, then we have just the rollover money to play with to sign FA’s and rookies. I’m hoping his numbers are wrong and he is still counting all the expiring contracts in his number. I know we already have $90 million committed to 10 players, so we are in a world of hurt either way.
so we are in a world of hurt either way.
This is actually where I estimated the Jets were at a few weeks ago. There are a number of moves they can make to clear up some cap space.

So did I, but the troublesome aspect of this is that the only mvoe we really can make is to renogiate Sanchez.
There really is nothing else, unless we are going to move Keller. Almost any other moves I can think of have minimal or no impact on the cap. The contracts we just handed out last year to Harris, Ferguson, and Mangold are such that they have no incentive to renegotiate them, unless it is for more guaranteed money that does not count against the cap.

great game!
I was at the game and me and my friend decided to stick it out for lack of anything else to do. we were pleasantly surprised to say the least. most peopel left at the half. good times.
Cavanagh is back
the Jets just announced their 2012 coaching staff and Cavanagh is staying on as QB coach. This move will be the end of the Rex Ryan era in NY as this means that Sanchez has little to no chance to improve.
When the likes of Steve Young, Trent Dilfer, and Rich Gannon all point out how poorly Sanchez has been coached and Rex ignores them all to back up his boy Cavanagh you learn that our head coach continues to be clueless in regards to offense. I am sorry but keeping Cavanagh is absolutely indefensible.
Ryan Young I think.
