Not a lone factor but...

something this Jets squad was missing for this season seemed to be the revenge games. Maybe I missed it but in the first 2 seasons with Rex there were a few games in which the team went out and basically say “you beat us and now we are going to kick your a$$”. Maybe all this kicking us while we are down is just what we need to add on to the edge we were missing this season.

Honestly, maybe an 8-8 season wasn't the worst thing in the world

It’s a humbling experience that I would think they’ll learn from and get better from. Every successful team has a couple of average seasons here and there. Jon Gruden was a really good coach, but he wasn’t in the playoffs every single year. Also, I think all these other teams are hating on us because they’re pissed off that we outdid them the last couple of years and now they’re venting it out because they can.
