The Great Vanishing Mike Westhoff

I was a fan of Westhoff in the past, he isn't without his faults but I always thought he has a unique way of being a successful special teams coach. He will be the first to admit he feels slighted he never got his head coaching chance, and interviewed before Rex was hired. I don't know if the game has passed him by or if he just doesn't care during his swan song this year, either way our special teams is HORRIBLE. We have punts blocked for TD's, kickoffs returned for TD's, blocked FG's, blocked extra points, fake punts run 40yds up the middle and the usual Folk missed FG's. Now we have had the positive moments, McKnight 100yd TD return and a couple fake punts that worked, along with the terrible fake punt shoved in our face in St. Louis. I didn't expect much from our team this year, and they have done more than enough to live up to that. But I didn't think Westhoff would have his last year be a year filled with mental errors, sloppy play and an overall poor special teams unit. I hope he enjoys retirement, hopefully a little early.
