So this has been a season full of ups and downs for the New York Jets. Most of the time its been down and when its down, its ugly. I think a fitting end to the Jets season occurred on Monday night against the Titans. Mark Sanchez threw four interceptions and had one game ending fumble to secure the loss. What does it mean? It means the Jets now get to see two games of the one quarterback who hasn't proven himself yet for the green and white. An accurate passer with a history of winning, Greg McElroy will start for the first time in his career against the lowly San Diego Chargers. He has two games to prove that the Jets have the future quarterback already on the team. Not to make any irrational comparisons, but there are some striking coincidences between Greg McElroy and Joe Namath. Both attended the University of Alabama. Both wore the number 12. Both won a championship with the Crimson Tide. If anything, its good karma. What we don't know is how McElroy can play with the pressure on him; with 80,000 critics and plenty of newspapers to scrutinize every mistake. Signs point to yes , hes a smart quarterback who can handle pressure on the national level (Alabama). Only so much can be said before the game, now it's time to see what he does on the field.
I love the Jets, who knows what the future holds, either way, if you have nothing better to do, please check out my blog about Greg McElroy, Mack Attack Thanks!
