Another season is almost in the books . We get to watch a jet free playoff for another year . We all know the major problems that this team needs to fix next year . Its a very long list , so long in fact that it will be virtually impossible to fix in 1 off season .

But if we examine that list , most people will say we need to replace Pace ( totally agree ) and Thomas and draft 2 new pass rushers . Our pass rush has been the bane of an otherwise solid defence . But do we really need to find 2 pass rushers in the draft ?

Bryan Thomas has done a decent job for the money he is paid but the guy i have real hope for next year is Garrett McIntyre .

McIntyre is due to earn slightly over 500k next year . He has 3 sacks so far this season playing a limited role on this defence . If he was a starter next year could he get close to double digit sacks ? If he was playing with someone better than Pace the other side ( a 1st round pass rusher ) could he have a break out year ?

I like what i have seen from him this season but i believe he can improve even further . He looks like he has a lot more potential to become a solid fixture for this team . Having a young , inexpensive guy like Garrett will be massive for our team , with all our cap problems next year .

To me ,Garrett McIntyre represents great value in term of cap and potential to improve especially if we can draft a top replacement for the overpaid Pace .
