The first slate of games was a bit of a letdown. A bunch of great matchups on paper resulted in no memorable games and few that were even competitive. Maybe the second slate of games will be better. The late afternoon contests look less compelling, but the game in Dallas between the Steelers and the Cowboys is a big one. The Jets are chasing the Steelers in the AFC Playoff race and could use a Dallas victory. Gang Green got a bit of help early with Houston's win over Indianapolis. Things still do not look very good, but the Jets still have life.
