The season has been bad , so bad in fact that i can only make an argument for 2 players to win MVP this year . The team as a whole has regressed but these 2 guys have stepped up and played above and beyond what the average jet fan would have expected . So in order we have

1) Mo Wilkerson

The improvement from him this year has been a genuine pleasure to watch . He had a very solid rookie year but he now looks even better . He is only 23 but plays like a more experienced pro . He has 43 tackles so far this year , 6 short of his total last season , 2 FF , 1 returned for a score and 1 sack . But the stats don't tell the whole story . He has to deal with regular double teams now and is still getting off blocks , getting pressure on the QB and making some good TFL . He has easily been our best defender against the run . A real rock of our D Line , something we can hopefully build on .

2) Nick Folk

Nick has had his best season in green this year . He has missed 1 kick all year ( a block ) and looks to have the eye of the tiger back . He has a long of 54 yards .He looks so relaxed and confidant every time he takes the field that i never fear he will miss a kick . His kick-off has also improved this year adding at least 5 yards .

Its a sad state of affairs when a kicker is on a shortlist and not 1 player on the offense makes it on the list . Who would your MVP be
