Hold on before you write me off an a lunitic. While I love Revis, and he is by far the greatest CB currently in the league, and possibly of all time, is he worth what he is being paid. Last season we were ranked 3rd in passes completed, this season we rank 4th. Personally, I think Antonio Cromartie has stepped up and is capable of leading this teams secondary. Alot of fans are very down on Kyle Wilson, but somehow, the Jets have only dropped 1 spot from where we were last season with Revis. The Jets are a team in desperate need of youth and talent. Revis has an abundance of talent, and he is youthful enough, but if we traded him, the amount of draft picks, and salary cap room created might make us a better team overall. A high first a second round pick in the draft wouldn't be far off for what Revis is worth. That would give us 2 first and 2 second round picks. With those we could shore up some major positions of need. We currently have 0 probowl players in skill positions on offense. We can keep piling on talent on the defensive side of the ball, but until we can form an offense which gives them rest on the sidelines and puts points up on the board, our defense can only go so far. If trading Revis could make us a better team as a whole, then is it worth it to keep one of the NFL's top players if it makes us one of the middle teams?
