Not only did the Jets get killed on the field last Thursday, but they took a beating off the field as well. This video is glorious, if only because, for 45 seconds, it gave Jets fans unfettered access to the most unwatchable team in recent memory. This is beyond simple heckling, there is venom in this coming from Jets fans. It is as if all the anger, all the frustration at having watched quite possibly the worst quarter in Jets history unfold before our very eyes, is just unleashed at one moment. There are a couple things I love about this. First of all the guy pointing at random players and simply saying "Garbage," in a monotone voice over and over again, is absolutely hysterical. The fact that the noise rises to a mini anger crescendo right as Sanchez walks into the tunnel makes it even better. Then add a man who seems to be shrieking curses for the entire video and you have a clear picture of just how low the Jets have fallen in the eyes of the fans.
Now I'm going on Sunday and I'm fully expecting this type of anger and frustration all over again. The Jets have clearly lost the support of the fans, as Fireman Ed illustrated over the week, and I can't see it getting any better until a regime change is made.
