Well, the playoffs aint happening this year, and we're on the decline. We have to go into rebuild mode, in my opinion. We probably wont be competitive for at least 5 years. Here is who, in my opinion, which current Jets will be on starting in 5 years, and what spots will be occupied by new players.
QB
RB
TE
WR Stephen Hill
WR Jeremy Kerley
WR
LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson
LG Matt Slauson
C Nick Mangold
RG
RT
LDE Quinton Coples
RDE Muhammad Wilkerson
NT Kendrick Ellis
LOLB
ROLB
MLB Demario Davis
MLB
1CB Darrelle Revis
2CB Kyle Wilson
3CB Antonio Cromartie
SS
FS
What I see here is a team lacking in stars, and their best players aging. Maybe there will be a Ducasse or Howard in the future, and maybe there wont be a Slauson. All the best players on the team (Revis, Mangold, Ferguson, Cromartie) will be on their last legs, and may not even be on the team. We need to nail the draft, and that starts with an improved drafting team. I would consider trading some players for picks, maybe even Revis.
