Well I am back again with the same "OLE" refrain… How many EGGS must Sanchez lay before the Jets realize, he is NOT their Chicken to take them into the future??? Even if you surround him with top notch receivers and top notch pass blocking linemen, he will never be better than just mediocre at best. Although the Jets have some quality players at those positions, Sanchez is still too small (6 ‘1" and that’s a stretch), too mentally slow in setting up to pass and too inaccurate with his passes to be a top notch QB in the NFL. For over 3 years now, opposing lineman bat his passes down almost every week (4 this week) due to his lack of height; he never seems to find a reciever fast enough as he sets up to pass (unless it’s a 5 yd pass) and consequently gets sacked and loses the football way to many times as a result. He just plays Small, Scared and Slow, game after game. His stats were padded at the end of this weeks game, so they really aren’t worth commenting about. He is Not a pocket passer as his height and mental slowness are detriments that he can not overcome. Of course I realize Tebow is not the answer either. Like I said a couple of weeks ago, the Jets have no where to go so we Jet fans will suffer through another season of disappointment and excuse making by other Fans and Jet management as well. Time to Bench Sanchez, give 3rd string QB McElroy a shot and play out the string this season. Somewhere down the road there has to be a better QB out there in college right now who can replace our present Chicken.
