Were always down on GGN after a loss and this week is no different . We could and should have beaten the Pats but i saw enough from our team to have genuine hope for the rest of the season . So instead of a "sky is falling post " ( which i would usually do after a loss) , i have decided to celebrate 2 of our players who have really stepped up to the mark so far this season . They have been under the radar from a media standpoint but i think every jet fan has seen what these guys can really bring to our team . The 2 guys are ,

Robert Malone , take a bow . You have come onto this team from nowhere and have played welll above what any honest jet fan could have imagined . You have already become a valuable member of this team but after yesterday's great performance i hope my good friend Mr T gives you a long term deal . Your had a 44 yard average before you arrived and have improved to 47.1 so far this year . You had a 56.7 yard average yesterday on 3 punts with a long of 60 and had a 52 yard average on 5 punts with a long of 57 last week against the Colts . Those last 8 punts are pro bowl numbers sir and i hope you keep this from up .

Next up, and i'm sure by now you all have an idea who it is , is

Nick Folk . What a season Nick is having . He is perfect after 7 games and has knocked over some big pressure kicks in the process . His performance was great yesterday kicking over a season long 54 yard FG and two 40+ yarders to boot ( no pun intended ) . But what is great to see is the confidence he is oozing at this moment . He looks like he has the eye of the tiger on every FG he attempted so far and i have honestly not worried over any of his kicks . He has also added extra yards to his kickoffs this season and this has really helped the team . I could always see that he had the talent but it was his own confidence or self belief that was holding him back . In soccer we have a saying that you don't become a bad player overnight and i always knew he could get back his pro bowl form . I think his form last season combined with his training camp battle has really helped Folk get his confidence back . Now we shall see the real Folk for the 1st time .

I know i my be biased with Folk , being that i'm the founder of his fanclub here on GGN but i have to give credit when its due , and in my eyes both guys deserve my unsung hero award
