When In Doubt, Ask a Pats Fan

If we seem happy to see you all...

One, it's a home-game and we're 3-3. Second, it's not in Seattle's crazy stadium. Third, no offense but the Jets don't have the best secondary in the league. Right now it's the Seahawks who have the best secondary in the league. You'll all see later in the season when the Jets travel there.

While the Jets won't have Revis and Holmes they still have plenty of talent. Even if RBs McKnight and Powell aren't healthy, it looks like they'll have receivers Stephen Hill and Dustin Keller to help out that offense. The Pats may not have S's Patrick Chung or Steve Gregory, but it looks like LB Hightower is likely to play. Injury reports will reveal a lot but both sides are dinged up and aching for the bye-week.

What doesn't need to be asked are the implications of a W or L in this game.

The Pats will be 2-0 in the division and the Jets 2-1,

or the Pats will be 1-1 in the division and the Jets 3-0 after having only played 1 divisional-game at home.

No offense to Miami and Buffalo, but this is the beginning of the real fight for control of the AFC-East. The final battle will be on Thanksgiving in Jersey, but it'll begin this Sunday in New England.
