Schotty or Dirk Koetter?
I can't believe i'm asking this. The Jets are rumored to be looking at Dirk Koetter as a new Potential OC. Is this a freaking joke?! We all want Schotty out, but as far as I know Dirk Koetter is even worse. He got absolutely nothing out of Blaine Gabbert, and his offense was ranked 31st i believe. I know this is a very short fanpost but the question just needs to asked. Would we rather take a piece of garbage we're already familiar with and just try to bolster the roster on that side, or do we get who may be arguably the worst OC in football? Again, ik this is a short post, but i don't know how to put polls on fanshots.

This
Both are disasters. If either is the OC in 2012, I hope the team goes winless.

I hope this is just a rumor. Why would we want to bring in another guy who has been having troubles with a young qb

ehh all Jax has is Jones drew and marcedes lewis. No Wrs at all, plus no training camp.
koetter still isnt all that great though.
come to think of it
His offenses, before this year, were usually around the middle of the league, and he was 7th in 2007. And this with not a lot of talent outside of jones-drew and lewis. He did a decent job with garrard too. Idk, maybe if we get a better right tackle and fix all these issues with our receiving corps he could make something decent of it, but we’ll see what happens.
I don't know enough on Koetter, but I hear he is actually very good.
Historically has pretty good offenses, it was just that his GM and Front Office made such horrible decisions at quarterback, receiver, and o-line this year that they were unable to produce anything. You kind of feel bad for the guy. I’d welcome him.

I only remember one year where the Jags had a decent offense
That was way back in 2007…I haven’t seen anything else great from their offense with the exception of MJD.
No Koetter please…We also don’t need another guy with 2 t’s in their last name. Too many bad memories.
Love with a LEO is like a drug.. One taste and your addicted!
If there is Schotty or someone else in the poll,
Unless the other one makes average QB’s throw it 50 times a game, then it’s not Schotty.
I don't care what people say about me and i will keep doing what i enjoy.
Probably Koetter
But the best option is a guy with a track record of successfully developing QB’s and producing quality offenses. Koetter has done neither. I know he hasn’t been given a great hand in Jacksonville, but I want a guy we know is good. I don’t want a guy with bad numbers who maybe might not stink because the talent he was given was no good.

It's just a rumor
Not credible. I do believe the Tony Sperano, because I saw that on multiple sites.
Another report said that Sparano is also a candidate along with Koetter...

I think that would be a very good option
I also like Tom Clements the QB coach from the Packers

Well on SI Friday – Peter King reported that Jacksonville was hot on Joe DeCamillis. He was the Special Teams Co-Ord. for the Dallas Cowboys. So Schotty might want to grab that resume again and check on the High School he went to and see if they have an opening.
He(Peter King) also was predicting that Josh McDaniels would be returning to the Pats and that has now been confirmed. Todd Haley is supposedly heading back to the desert to reunite with the Cards. So ther goes to good choices for a new OC for the team.
Next…….?

Yeah some of the stuff Peter King say is idiotic and short-sighted

DO NOT WANT
either. Or Sparano either for that matter.

Exactly. The question is... would I rather step in crap with my right foot or left foot?
Uh, neither. Not worth a Fanpost.

If you don’t provide your source, it’s as good as you making up this rumor.
[Wretch]
If we fire Schotty to hire this guy or Sparano I’ll be livid.
But
If Koetter came from the Jaguars then he would run it more. Which is why we should acquire a RB.

Yuk
does this organization even have a clue. Just outbid the cardinals for Haley because the rest of these rumors are horrible.
Koetter leading the voting makes me worried about the fans that come here
Schotty had a bad year but while everyone loves to point out Sanchez getting us to back to back title games, Schotty gets zero credit. Of course everybody loves change when things dont go right, but just making the move for the sake of making a move is dumb. If we can get an upgrade, Im all for it.
I still fear Sanchez having to learn a new system next year. Not like he has mastered the cuurent one after three seasons.

It doesn't get much worse than Schottenheimer.
Schotty gets an eensie-itty-bitty-tiny little bit of credit and that’s because those there is almost no games where he really deserves much, if any. Generally, our offense is stumblin’ and bumblin’, almost incapable of getting out of their own way, it’s been like that for years, with a number of different personnel at nearly every position. Very seldom does our offense function at the level it can, and you can’t blame it all on the quarterback because this is a trend over a span of at least 3 quarterbacks, 2 who found success elsewhere. Players report our current system is immensely complicated and very hard to learn, and it was Schottenheimers unit that imploded hard during the season, all under his nose and largely because of his awful playcalling. It’s time to move on from Schotty for sure.

So is it stupid players or is our OC too smart?
Schotty needs to move on to be successful but Koettner is no improvement in my opinion.

NEITHER. How bout Hue?
Hue Jackson may get fired and he and Ryan have ties back to the Ravens days. I like that thought.
