Melvin Ingram... Our OLB?
Melvin is sky rocketing. They say he has been dominating the Senior Bowl with Courtney Upshaw and Quinton Coples. I think he will definitely be there at pick 16 come draft day.

I like too
Crackback did a write up on him a few weeks back with some video. I’ll be interested to hear some measurables from the combine.
Well the combine is measurables without pads. still important
But he looks explosive with pads and one on one matchups. He’s still a monster.

I just want to hear the 40 time and the splits
I haven’t seen enough college tape so, it means something to me. As well, I know it means a lot to teams drafting. At 270 pounds, I’m really curious to see the 40. He looks pretty fast for his size, but again, I don’t know how fast the guys are he is chasing.
But I do know we need to improve speed on defense. So a bad 40 time or bad splits would kinda make him go down in my eyes (for our team).

I feel that is what it may end up being.
I want Upshaw more than any player in the draft, but he was the best player at the Senior Bowl this week. He is now safely a top 10 pick to the Fins, Jags, Bills…and if he slips past them he’ll likely be eaten up by the Cowboys or Iggles. Unless we trade up, unfortunately, we’re not getting him. Melvin Ingram isn’t a HUGE dropoff, but fairly significant. Ingram is not a 3 down linebacker yet while Upshaw is. Ingram hasn’t had as much success rushing the passer as Upshaw. Ingram also does not have great measurables or speed. I think he is still very good, but he is more of a “project” than Upshaw. He should be great, though, and that is where I see the Jets going right now.

I like what I've heard from scouts.
Can’t see him practice because I dont have NFLN and I’m in school and work, but the combine will give us a clearer view. There we can see all OLBs. But right now Upshaw and ingram are my top choices.

Don't forget about Nick Perry
Perry is a different type of player than Ingram and Upshaw. While the two of those guys rely on brute force, relentless pursuit, and leverage to get pressure, Perry utilizes his plus speed (reportedly 4.50 40 time) and angular pursuit to get to the quarterback. If the Jets decide they need to add speed to their linebacking core, then Perry is the wiser direction to go. If they want someone who represents more of what Rex wants in a defense, a tough, in-the-trenches type of guy, it’s Upshaw or Ingram.

I live In SC
I’ve seen a lot of games on live the guy can play he has a great motor, plays a multitude of positions, and is explosive. his ten yard split will be really good I’m going to say 1.52 -1.54 which is good for me.
