Really Giants?

Ok, so them as a team got full of themselves ( i know i sound stupid saying this as a Jets fan ), and they decided to say: " Some teams like going to the Conference Championship, but we like going to the Super Bowl ". This was extremely uncalled for. Obviously we all hate the Patriots more then anyone so i still gotta root for the Giants. But is this the time to rip off on the Jets? Some of you may think they didn't, but really? The twitter account said New York Giants. This is just so bad. I hope Rex Ryan takes a shot back at them. You could say something like: Oh, whenever we get good we could be good again the next year ( 09-10/ 10-11 ).

I mean they did beat us, but now that they are going to play the Patriots in the SUPER BOWL then if they are going to trash talk at least rip off on the Patriots. Now, some of you people may think that they were just happy that they got to the Super Bowl, but no. There are so many reasons to go against that. They beat us. They know they are the big brothers. So now they can just feel free to start trash talking again, and it's also Pretty annoying whenever Tom Coughlin talks about how they don't do trash talk.

Some teams are happy getting to Conference Championship games, but #ImReallyGoodAt winning them! 5-0 all time! #ALLIN

What good will Rex taking a shot back at them do?

That would simply get the media to destroy him some more and if the Giants win, they will defend them till death by saying “How dare that fat slob say that about a team that actually wins it all” blah blah blah. It wasn’t necessary, no. But because of Rex put the team and the fanbase in this situation, we the fans take the brunt of the backlash because we die for this team, moreso than the players in reality. The media automatically favors the Giants over the Jets. It will always unfortunately be this way. The Jets are looked at as a bunch of little nobodies who “got lucky” to get to 2 AFC Title games, according to the media. The Giants on the other hand are “expected” to compete for Super Bowls all the time, this again according to the NY Media. Remember how the the media ran with the “it’s 2007 all over again” just because they only beat the Falcons? The media hates Rex Ryan and will do whatever they can to destroy him when he speaks, while on the other hand, Tom Coughlin you never miss on the sidelines throwing tantrums, rants, etc. but they shield him as “the respectable” coach gets the pass. It sucks, it’s not fair but unfortunately the way that it is.

by winnebagosun on Jan 23, 2012 8:56 PM EST reply actions

I don’t think the media hates Rex at all; he actually gives them plenty to write about and makes their job a lot easier. And those knucklehead Giants fans were talking about canning Coughlin 4 weeks ago just like they were in ‘07. But as far as NY is concerned, we are second class citizens and it’s gonna stay that way until we win the big games that the Giants find ways to win.

The Giants got lucky

Remember when Bradshaw fumbled it with a little over two minutes to go deep in their own territory? Had they made the correct call on that one, the Niners would have gotten the ball at about the Giants 25 or so. Not a chip shot FG, but definitely hittable. Not to mention they could have moved the ball down the field more. Oh well. The Giants just always catch those sort of breaks…

by Revis Island on Jan 23, 2012 9:32 PM EST reply actions

If forward progress is ruled as being stopped (as it was) then the call is correct.

Giants got luckier than the Pats

2 muffed punt returns that lead to 10 points and the no call on the fumble, not to mention the collisons on the probable picks and i don’t see how anyone can say that the Giants weren’t as lucky as the Pats. The Ravens had 1 dropped ball and a missed chip shot that would have sent the game to OT.
Without the Niners punt returner having the ball hit his knee, the Giants don’t go to overtime.

by Troy O on Jan 24, 2012 3:59 PM EST up reply actions

I disagree

Just look at the stats from the Ravens game. The only area that NE won was getting a few more first downs and a few fewer penalties. Otherwise they lost the TE battle (they became only the 3rd team to lose the TO battle in a conference championship game and advance), their star QB had a 57 QB rating, they got out yarded on the ground and in the air and lost the time of possession battle. The final three plays were a pass that was a split second from being a game winning TD, a near pass interference and a missed 32 yard fg.

On the other hand in many ways the Giants were the better team. The 49ers could not convert any third downs and their 2 tds were on long passes (much like I view the Giants as lucky in the Jets game for being dead offensively and then getting a single devastating 99 yard play) but otherwise they couldn’t do much. Did the Giants benefit from the 2 punt-fumbles? Sure-but benefiting is different than the jaw-dropping luck the Pats got.

by Buzzy on Jan 24, 2012 5:18 PM EST up reply actions

TE battle

I mean the TO battle-the Pats always win the TE battle!

by Buzzy on Jan 24, 2012 5:18 PM EST up reply actions

If the Niners could have held onto the balls that were pickable

The Giants would have also lost the TO battle. Turnovers don’t mean anything unless they lead to points. For the Giants, they got the points from 2 muffed punts. Got away with multiple passes that should have been picked, and were regularly beaten on deep throws that the QB just overthrew. The difference between the Giants and Pats is that the Giants got lucky, again (muffed punt), and again (pick collision), and again (dropped pick), and again (Fumble not ruled a fumble), and again (another pick collision), and again (muffed punt). Whereas the Pats got lucky on two straight plays.

"Schotty... You Suck!" - Mark Sanchez

by jetsbill on Jan 24, 2012 5:38 PM EST up reply actions

Brady threw 2 extra picks that were called back by penalty-

the TOs are part of game. The fact is the Giants outplayed the Niners. The Giants had 11 more minutes of possession, had more total yards and ran an amazing 33 more plays. The Ravens outplayed the Pats even before the remarkable last 3 plays. The Giants were fortunate, the Patriots lucky. The difference is that the Giants actually played better on a play by play basis and the Pats didn’t.

by Buzzy on Jan 24, 2012 6:41 PM EST up reply actions

we'll have to disagree

The Giants did not in any way outplay the Niners. The Niners outplayed the Giants and basically gave the game to them. And you know that Time of Posession and number of plays run doesn’t mean anything. The Broncos had the ball for 7 more minutes and ran 7 more plays in their 45-10 loss to the pats.
And the two picks that got called back from penalties? One was on an offsides penalty in which brady threw it up because he had a free play, the other was when the receiver was knocked down and the guy who knocked him down picked off the ball.
And… The niners averaged nearly 3 more yards per rush, and over 2 more yards per pass than the Giants.
This entire season, the Giants have been the luckiest team in the entire league.

"Schotty... You Suck!" - Mark Sanchez

by jetsbill on Jan 24, 2012 6:51 PM EST up reply actions

Turnovers are part of the game

One was a bad play BY A MEMBER of the Niners, and the other was a good play by the Giants to force the fumble. Fumbles on special teams are a lot more common (especially under those game conditions) than missing a 32 yard FG. When your third down conversion efficiency is 1-13 and you only have 15 first downs in a 4.5 quarter game, you are not outplaying anyone.

by Buzzy on Jan 24, 2012 6:56 PM EST up reply actions

The 2nd fumble never should have happened

Because without the incredibly stupid first one, the game doesn’t go to OT. And having 14 first down’s come on 1st or 2nd down isn’t too shabby. they actually converted more 1st down’s within 2 plays than they had 3rd downs.
And in all my years, i’ve never see a player have the ball hit him, and him not go after it and try to recover it. Not only did the ball hit him, but he was still the closest person to it, and could have just gone after it and jumped on it. Instead, he just stood there and pretended that it didn’t hit him.

"Schotty... You Suck!" - Mark Sanchez

by jetsbill on Jan 24, 2012 7:02 PM EST up reply actions

And if you take away 2 passes that Smith had to Davis

the Niners passing line is 10/24 for a paltry 76 yards. Let that sink in for a second-that is like 3 yards an attempt. If you can take away 2 special teams bad plays from the Niners I can take away 2 good offensive ones-if you do that no way the Niners win either. They were shit on offense outside of 2 plays.

by Buzzy on Jan 24, 2012 7:03 PM EST up reply actions

Neither of those plays were lucky in any way

If Smith was actually better, he would have hit on 4 long passes insead of just 2 and the game would have been a blowout.

"Schotty... You Suck!" - Mark Sanchez

by jetsbill on Jan 24, 2012 7:07 PM EST up reply actions

They were indeed good plays

but I don’t view good long plays as any less fluky than fumbles on punts. They are unlikely and require a confluence of circumstances in both cases.

Bottom like is in my opinion the Giants were fortunate. neither team was good outside of a few scattered plays. In games like that I simply shrug my shoulders when a one team wins based on a special teams turnover. do I think the Niners should have won? probably, but it was not like they played well. On the other hand the AFC Championship game has inspired pieces like:

The GM having a backup plan isn't luck

The play on the field and the ball consistently bouncing your way and getting all the breaks is what makes you lucky. Dive and fumble the ball to lose the game? Nope, not a fumble, that player was giving himself up.

And i completely understand your sig… The common theme among giants fans at the begining of the season was “our linebackers suck” and now, like you say, it’s been modified.

It’s the lesser of two evils. There are more Giants fans than Patriots in my area, and I don’t want to hear it for a year if the Giants win.
Shaun Ellis got dumped by the Jets and he deserves a ring after 10 years of playing his ass off for the Jets and not getting a contract.
The Pats beat the Jets twice this year, and I don’t mind if their better than the Jets this season. If gives us motivation to be better than they are next year.

Or the Just End The Season crap?

You really don’t think the shit talking has ever been this bad?
I got heckled every day growing up because i wore my Jets Starter jacket to school. I had to deal with Cowboy fans talking shit, Giants fans talking shit, Dolphins fans talking shit, Bills fans talking shit. The way i see it, it was a lot worse before Rex got here. At least with Rex, we have a winner for a team. When 8-8 is deemed a complete failure, he’s got to be doing something right.

Im 36 and Ive been a fan since the early 90s

I know what Gangrene means. Its different now than it was in the past though. Before the Jets were a joke because of the moves they made and because they were always a mediocre team. You watch that draft video on Youtube and there is a reason Jets fans had it rough.

Now with Rex setting expectations high, many Jets fans acted really stupid after the back to back title games. Ive never seen such front running from a fan base that didn’t win anything yet. Its worse now because the expectations are high and we all bought in, and the Jets shit the bed. 8-8 is a complete failure for a team expected to do big things,

Exactly

I remember the days of “Joe must go” and the paper bags over the heads. Everyone and their mother was talking shit about the Jets because they sucked.
I’m 35 and been a fan since 82. You were lucky not to have to live through the days of the 80’s.
The amount of crap that this organization and it’s fans take is in now way, shape, or form anywhere close to what it was prior to Rex being hired. The last 2 years, we owned NY, and if Rex hadn’t said a single word, we would still have to hear the same amount of crap about how great the Giants are and we aren’t.

"Schotty... You Suck!" - Mark Sanchez

by jetsbill on Jan 24, 2012 6:58 PM EST up reply actions

Thats not taking crap though, its truth

The Giants have been the better organization, they seem to get things done and do it in a classy way most of the time. The Jets have turned into the late 70s Bronx Zoo Yankees but without the titles.

I cant see how it was worse back then, nobody ever expected anything out of the Jets. They always bungled the draft and their free agent signings left alot to be desired. The coaches that were hired were also questionable. Nowadays, we have to deal with social media, ESPN as a superpower, and more coverage than the game has ever had.

Im not against Rex as our coach, I like the guy. I think lots of fans in this fan base went around with the same bravado and have been torn a new one after the team that was going to win the SB missed the playoffs. I seriously doubt Jets fans were talking tons of crap during the dark days. That would be like Mets fans talking crap nowadays.

for most of the 80's and 90's

When someone said “Jets suck” the only reply was “yep”. It’s not like that anymore, which is why it isn’t as bad. And you say that the Giants have always done it with class? Really? Their best player during their first two superbowl’s would buy hookers and send them to the other teams hotel, snorted coke and smoked crack. There is nothing classy about that.
We have a coach and an organization that believes that they are going to win the Superbowl every year, just like every other organization. Only our coach isn’t some fraud who will only say it when nobody can hear it.

But hey, whatever helps you come to grips with your love of the Giants.

since when do a couple players make up an organization?

The “class factor” came from things like it being a loyal family own organization and may of had something to do with W Mara dividing the amounts of money available in cities like New York with smaller market teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.
Hence revenue sharing is born. The concept of revenue sharing allowed the NFL to grow and is still being used today.
Or maybe that the franchise ranks third among all NFL franchises with seven NFL titles and has been a model of consistency..
If u wonna name drop maybe these guys that will rep us better Mel Hein, Frank Gifford, Charlie Conerly, Y. A. Tittle, Simms ,Banks ,Carson and Toomer would be better examples.

Unlike yourself it wasn’t the pretty colors that made me love this team ,it went a smidge deeper then that.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

31 teams in the NFL are FAMILY owned!!! The only one that isn’t is the Packers. But hey, you’re a Giants fan, so i wouldn’t expect you to make any sense with your argument. And Mara did do a good thing with revenue sharing, along with the other owners. However, he was also against the owner who nearly single handedly sank the AFL/NFL merger by signing Pete Gogolak despite the two sides being in negotiations to merge the league with the understanding that during that time, no league would try to take the other league’s players.
Frank Gifford is an a-hole who cheats on his wife. But hey…
Carl Banks… Arrested for criminal mischief under the domestic violence act.
And i’m sure it wasn’t the “pretty colors” i’m sure it was just your ignorance.

And antonio pierce did try to cover for Burress by not reporting anything and taking the gun home with him. But hey, when your a Giant, i guess the fan’s don’t consider that trying to cover.
And that actually says a lot about you.

Dude, this is weak

I find it hard to believe you are in your 30s, running crap like that. When I said Giants have done it with class, I meant the organization on the whole, not just the players. The Mara family is probably right up with the Rooneys as far as most respected owners in the NFL.

All this crap Rex did running his mouth and the Hard Knocks stuff was low rent and was an attempt to get the Jets brand out there. It worked but there was a cost, the team got out of hand and I wonder if it will now deter some free agents from coming here. I dont mean guys like Braylon, Im talking high character guys like JCo.

Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.

You have an issue with Rex running his mouth

And i don’t. I don’t because i’ve been a fan all my life whereas you became a fan in your late teens. You have no idea what it was like to grow up and deal with the crap that was thrown at Jets fans during the Giants first 2 superbowl runs. You have no idea!!!! And if you haven’t noticed, the D didn’t have any issues, the O did. Our coach has admitted that he doesn’t know much about Offenses and thus gave control over to the guy that the organization felt did. Brian Schottenheimer. The same Brian Schottenheimer who wasn’t picked by Rex to run his Offense. And all of the “class” crap is just that. Crap!!! You think Leon Hess wasn’t a respected owner? You think he wasn’t as classy as the Mara’s? Or do you think Woody Johnson is classless? A guy who is doing everything he can to win, and build a brand that was clearly lacking for this team.
I think i get it. You have no issue with the Jets as long as they are winning, and when they have an off year that ends in a .500 record, you can’t handle it and look for ways to lash out. And JCo didn’t leave because he didn’t like the atmosphere, he left because he wasn’t going to get the prominent role that he wanted with the team.
As far as your “might deter some free agents from coming here” crap. and it is crap. For the last 2 years Rex was picked as the coach most players wanted to play for. Why? Because of his bravado. Because of the image he presented on Hard Knocks. Because he believes in his guys and isn’t afraid to say it.

First of all if you think there were no issues with the defense, you arent very bright. If you read nearly every post in the last month, its about which safety or pass rusher we should take.

Second, trash talk in your pre teen years is a joke. Im sure you were really battered by Giants fans when you were 9 years old. I grew up as a Yankees fan in the 80s and had to deal with NY being a Mets town so I know what its like to be a fan of the other team in town.

Under Hess, the Jets didnt do this crap, actually they didnt do anything. Its not that Woody is classless, its that he signed off on Rex doing the low brow stuff. And we all know why he did it. Money. PSL’s. The Jets organization also seems like they dont hold anybody accountable, this is a problem.

I have plenty of issues with the Jets when they are winning too. I dont see things through Jet colored glasses, I see them the way they really are.

Where are all these big FA signings that want to play here? Braylon and Holmes were trades due to there teams holding peeps accountable. LDT was past his prime and had to choose between the Jets and Vikings. Easy decision for him considering Vikes have the best RB in the NFL. Bart Scott and Jim Leonhard? System players, not stars. So where are these big name FAs that came here to play for Rex?

You really think any high character guy is picking the Jets as his first option?

Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.

by YankeesJets on Jan 25, 2012 1:12 AM EST up reply actions

I thought you were talking about the disfunction with the team?

There wasn’t any disfunction on the D. there was a lack of talent at the safety position, but there was no disfunction among the players.
Jets did it for money? Yet… The Giants charged a PSL for EVERY seat in the stadium while the Jets don’t have one for the upper level. Guess they didn’t want the money.
And now i get it… when players are asked what coach they would want to play for, and they say Rex, but they don’t come and sign with the jets the next season, it’s because they were lying in the interview. Just so you know… Every player out there is in it for the money. they all know that it’s a business and the team that can pay them the most is the team they are going to play for.
And who is a ’high character guy?" since you seem so intent on having one in order to be a classy organization.
(LDT would be considered a “high character guy” but he signed with the jets, so i love how you came up with an excuse as to why)

"Schotty... You Suck!" - Mark Sanchez

by jetsbill on Jan 25, 2012 1:27 AM EST up reply actions

I never said there was dysfunction on the defense. I dont think Cro was happy with being the second choice but he got over it.

Giants were never going to have to resort to the stuff the Jets did for PSLs. The Jets basically threw out their plans for 08 in favor of Brett’s star power. I loved the move at the time but it turned out to be the wrong one. That 08 team had the talent to get to the playoffs without Brett. Then they bring in a brash coach who is a media byte a minute. Woody and Rex were genius to get the Jets out there but it can blow up on ya, and it did.

Not every player is only about the money. The ones you want on your team, are the guys who care about winning and where they will place their family. Good character guys.

High character guys are people that do their job and stay out of the headlines for the wrong reasons. Guys like Patrick Willis or Mario Williams are high character guys. Albert Haynesworth, not so much.

LDT isnt a high character guy, he is a hypocrite. A lot of the players in SD were very happy to see him go based on stuff that was said after he left. He seemed to have his own selfish issues. I love that my fellow Jets fans keep calling him a leader, yet he didn’t do crap to keep the locker room together. And then he goes and breaks the code of the locker room. For what? To get a TV job?

Sure, if the Jets were offering more than another team, they will likely get the player(Nnamdi sure couldnt wait to play for Rex, eh) but if it comes down an even offer, Jets arent gonna be first choice.

Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.

by YankeesJets on Jan 25, 2012 1:47 AM EST up reply actions

Couple of things

By your definition of high character guy (does their job and stays out of the headlines for the wrong reasons) LDT was a high character guy. So are Bart Scott and Jim Leonard.
The funny thing is we don’t consider a guy who gave 100 $10,000 scholarships to disadvantaged high school seniors to be a “high character guy” because he got into a fight and a DUI.
Nnamdi got more money from the Eagles, which is why he didn’t come to the Jets.
And i completely disagree with you in that if it comes down to an even offer, the player is going to sign with the Jets. Of course we’ll never know that because even offers never happen.

"Schotty... You Suck!" - Mark Sanchez

by jetsbill on Jan 25, 2012 1:57 AM EST up reply actions

I appreciate your bleeding Jets green but you need to wake up dude

You act like the Jets can do no wrong. No wonder why you get battered on by opposing fans.

Braylon did a great thing and it shouldnt go unnoticed but you do know that the DUI’s and fights arent his only problems, right? Why else would a talent like this be moved for the likes of crap like Chansi Stucky?

I know Nnamdi got more money but he wouldve went there even for even money because he felt they had the best chance to win. His words, not mine.

I wouldnt consider Bart Scott a high character guy based on his mouthing off and some of his dumb penalties but I wouldnt call him low character either.

LDT is in the headlines for the wrong reasons. He wont shut up and he exposing stuff from a locker room he knew he wasnt coming back to. Thats kind of a bitch move in my opinion.

Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.

by YankeesJets on Jan 25, 2012 2:07 AM EST up reply actions

Couple of things here

My point about “High character guy” is that is garbage. You want to say that Edwards isn’t but then he goes and give a million dollars to some kids so they can go to college. He does this in a year in which his entire contract won’t cover the expense.
And your Nnamdi argument is garbage. He got offered more money by the Eagles. that is why he went to the eagles. EVER play that signs a big contract with a new team says that they did it because it gave them the best chance of winning.
Bart Scott… Really? Mouthing off and dumb penalties? That makes him low character? You think Patrick Willis and Mario Williams don’t run their mouths and get dumb penalties? Come on man!!!
LDT was never in the headlines until this year, and even then, he wasn’t in them until after the season, and his contract was up.
Do you consider Peyton Manning a “high character guy” because he’s blasting the colts right now. In the headlines for saying that the atmosphere in indy isn’t good for him healing.
You want to know why this whole class and high character argument is garbage… Who’s more high character… Eli or Mark? Eli is one hell of a QB. Mark is decent. Both are blasted by their fans as soon as things start to go bad. Mark goes and visits a kid who is dying at his house and just sits there waiting for the kid to wake up. Then has a texting relationship with him up until the day he dies. Has Eli ever done that? Does that mean that Mark is more respectable than Eli? No it doesn’t.
And on a final note… How am i getting “battered”? I’m pretty sure i’ve backed up every argument i’ve made, and never resorted to personal attacks like Troy O has made. (you don’t make personal attacks if you aren’t losing the argument)

Jets arent classless

The organization doesnt act with class all the time though. Our players are a direct result of our HC, who is a direct result of our GM, who is a result of our owner. Woody doesnt hold guys accountable, that’s the difference between the Jets and the others.

I’m not blaming our players, it starts at the top. This isn’t about whether the Giants or Jets have the classier players, its about the organizations. The way the Jets do things is frowned on by the other teams.

Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.

by YankeesJets on Jan 25, 2012 1:29 AM EST up reply actions

Actually...

Woody and the jets were the first team to suspend a player for any amount of time for a DUI.
And Woody has fired every coach that came before Rex because they didn’t win. And this year, Schotty was finally held accountable for the horrible job he had done running the Offense.
Braylon Edwards also wasn’t brought back for reasons we don’t know but suspect was because of his off the field issues.
And the funny thing is that every other team is exactly the same as the Jets. They are just afraid to say what they feel to the press when they ask the questions.

Brandon Jacobs actually threatened to punch Rex Ryan in the face and the Giants didn’t say or do anything to him for it.
I think this whole “Giants are a classy organization” bullshit is just that… Bullshit.

What player did they suspend? I hope you arent talking about Braylon being held out in that Miami game. That was a joke.

No every team isnt just like the Jets. The Jets are the team that takes guys low character guys like Holmes and Edwards. I guess you can say we are becoming Raiders East.

He didnt fire every coach, how can you make this up? Lets see, I’ll take HC’s under Woody Johnson for a 1000.

Bill Parcells – Left on his own
Bill Belichick – Not even going there
Al Groh – Left on his own after 1 year for a college job
Herm Edwards – Left for Chiefs
Eric Mangini – Only guy fired. Kind of unfair as he got Brett dumped on him and was the fall guy.

Hell, he didnt even fire Schotty, it was mutual.

Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.

by YankeesJets on Jan 25, 2012 2:17 AM EST up reply actions

Ok... Here we go..

Yes. Braylon Edwards was the FIRST player in the league to ever be suspended for ANY amount of time for a DUI. No player before him had ever sat out even 1 play prior to that.
As far as Coaches… you said nobody is held accountable.
First… Hey Alex, you have a problem with your HC’s under woody for a 1000. Bill Parcells resigned as HC in 1999 and Woody Johnson didn’t buy the team until 2000. Oops!!!
Al Groh.. Resigned following a 9-7 team. A winning record. Why would he be held accountable?
Then we go to Herm… the Chiefs were after Herm and tampered with him by stating their intrest for him in the media. Herm had 2 years left on his contract with the Jets. Herm tried to use his leverage (obviously wanted by the chiefs) to get himself an extension and pay raise. All of this following a 4-12 season and a lot of chatter of him getting canned. The Jets sent him to KC for a 4th rounder (Leon Washington)
Mangini.. Shit canned following a late season collapse. And you think Favre got dumped on him? Are you serious? Mangini’s sons middle name is Brett!!! That is by far the biggest stretch you make in all of your nonsense.
Schotty.. Ya. sure it was mutual. The Jets wanted him gone and didn’t want to have to pay him. The second he didn’t get the Jags job, he “resigned” and within a day, his replacement was announced. But you got it.. It was mutual. HAHAHA
