The Rams will hire Brian Schottenheimer as their new offensive coordinator, according to multiple reports.
Reports about this had been all over the place. It sounds official this time. I'm having definite second thoughts over being happy Jeff Fisher didn't get the Miami job.

why second thoughts?
feel bad for Fisher? Or wish that he brought Schotty to Miami?

Yes, wishing Fisher got the Miami job now so he would have brought Schotty.

Same reaction that I had
when I heard about this. At first I was happy that Fisher didnt take the Dolphins job but if I knew he was hiring Schotty I would have been very happy.

What if Bradford flourishes under Shotty?
I think it’s an interesting question to pose.
That will happen. It’s in our cards as jets fans. All season next year the headlines will probably read, Was schotty really at fault with the Jets

If Bradford flourishes
He’ll have managed to do something no other qb has done.

Fisher will have much more control over Schotty than Rex did
I actually think Bradford is more of a Schotty-type QB. He’s a thinker, while Mark is an instinct-driven QB. And Fisher is a guy who has the pull and the autonomy to reign in Schotty in case Schotty wants to get all cute and Schotty-like. I don’t think it would be the disaster Schotty was here.

I agree with this, especially your subject line

After visiting this site for the last couple of weeks to read up on Schotty, I’m not to happy. Pretty much 99% of the stuff I’ve read about him is negative. Anyways, there’s a rumor that the QB coach you guys had last year might be coming over with him. Your guys thoughts?
PLEASE TAKE HIM
his name is Matt Cavanagh. He was the OC of the worst offense ever to win a Super Bowl (2000 Raiders with Trent Dilfer), as well as the HC of Pitt University who started Tyler Palko over Joe Flacco. Everything on this site about him is just as negative as the stuff about Schotty.
Cavanagh
was not the head coach at Pittsburgh. He was the OC under Wannstedt and his offenses completely sucked.

It was the 2000 RAVENS,not RAIDERS

Please, please take Cav too!
Maybe the horrible Offense has been a combo of Schotty, Cav and Sanchez, but both coaches have horrible track records.
Good luck with BS & hopefully Cav. Be prepared for the worst!

Wow
if you guys take Cavanagh along with Schottenheimer I feel bad for you. Most of all Bradford will be destroyed by these two incompetent knuckleheads.

Absolutely pitiful
that these NFL teams keep recycling garbage coaches like Schottenheimer.
Great...
Oh boy haha. All of us Rams fans were excited that we were actually gonna have a QB coach this year after McDaniels absolutely failed with Bradford by not having one. Hopefully we let you guys keep this dude ;)
