The Jets’ problems pertain to player personnel. They’re constructed to run the ball and win with defense. That’s why they felt comfortable building around a quarterback that has limitations like Mark Sanchez.

He writes this. LOL, then why didn’t we run?

Plax, Mason, and Holmes complained about the playcallling they all can't be wrong.

Remember earlier in the season when it was reported Plax, Holmes, and Mason had a meeting with Rex about the play calling. Mason was blamed and he was traded away. Now Holmes is still saying the same thing about the play calling and now he’s being blamed for Schotty’s insufficient play calling. Gimme a break.

Still no excuse for his behavior.

My boss has put me in tough situations in the past, but I wouldn’t let my clients down no matter how unfair I think it is.

Yeah

Nobody is blaming Holmes for Schotty’s play calling. An alleged leader acting like that is unacceptable.

In the previous two seasons, the Jets seemed to have an edge over other teams in team spirit and cohesion, playing their best at the very end of the season. That has to be a point of pride for Ryan, and goes to the heart of his leadership and people skills: getting the most out of players and getting them to work together. The team dissension this season had to have been painful.

It only suggests that that there were roster factors at play in the success, something the FO probably overlooked. Ryan thought he could just boast his way into cohesion, but showed that he was way over his head as a HC when things start spiraling. Ryan is the guy you want at the head of a well-organized arm, but it remains to be seen if he is the guy who can actually organize an army in the first place. This team, in terms of roster, one would think is the most “Ryan” team we have seen yet, from his choice of Captain to the entire profile of roster skillsets, personalities and money spent.
