Jim Caldwell for Head Assistant Coach/QB Coach
So this is my first post and I am surprised no one has brought this up yet, but how about Jim Caldwell as an Assistant/QB coach.
He is not known for his running ability by any means, but thats what we have Tony Sparano for. Right now we need a coach who can work with our QB and developing him. Caldwell was an ok head coach for the Colts and Wake Forest, but is better known for helping develop Peyton Manning. Yes, Peyton was great coming out of college, but he still needed someone to help develop him into a NFL QB. Peyton himself was even not happy with the release of Caldwell.
I believe this would help not only with the passing game, but also with the maturity of Sanchez. Caldwell has seen how it is to help players mature while working under Tony Dungy. You rarely ever hear any problems within the locker room of the Colts even with the terrible season they recently had.
I know there will be comments saying this will also help us land Peyton, which I believe is a terrible idea, because not only will Mark take two steps back from being benched for Peyton, but Peyton is also one good blindside hit away from retiring. However, we do need a backup qb to push Mark, but it isn't Peyton.

How much of Peyton's QB development was Caldwell?
I’ve never really heard much talk about Peyton’s skill being crafted by Caldwell because everyone gushes over Tom Moore. But I don’t know that much about Indy.
Can anyone fill in some blanks?
Caldwell came to Indy in 2002 with Dungy
That was Manning’s 5th season and he was already a 2 time Pro Bowler. I don’t know if Caldwell did much at all. I do know that he’s just a terrible head coach.
The fact that Jim Cadwell can't use a challenge correctly.
He believed Curtis Painter was a winner when their third stringer kept them competitive speaks volumes of his intelligence.
And the home of the .... JETS!!!
Now lets get a G-D snack!!!

Er, Um
No
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years." Alexander Tyler
I would rather bring in Browning Nagle to work with Sanchez
Giving Caldwell any credit for Peyton is laughable. The proof was the 2011 season.
Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.
Horrible idea
Caldwell is an absolutely horrible coach.
yeah not feeling that one
