So No Todd Haley and We Lose Mike Smith to WVU

Jets Offense - TM - Jets

"Barring an 11th-hour course reversal," former Chiefs coach Todd Haley will not be joining the Jets' offensive staff.

It sounds like new OC Tony Sparano will be on his own in the Big Apple. This frees up Haley to return to the Cardinals, who are still believed to be interested in a reunion with their former offensive coordinator. It's unknown what capacity he'd serve in, however. Related: Cardinals
So I came on here to share this with you guys and also saw that we will be losing Mike Smith who has decided to take the LB's job and co-coordinator job at West Virginia. Both are huge blows as Haley was supposed to come in and help our passing game as well as work with Sanchez, while Smith was recently promoted to OLB coach and was also an integral part of the development of Aaron Maybin. Hopefully we find someone to replace Mike Smith asap, this makes you wonder how this affects the development of Maybin, and we also have to bring someone in to coordinate the passing game. I'm still hoping there's a chance we get Hue Jackson, but he recently interviewed for the Rams OC job. Contrary to what was previously reported Schotty hasn't locked that job up yet, so hopefully he gets it.
