I'm an editor for Turf Show Times, and I'm doing a piece on OC candidates. I'm looking for some insights into the pros and cons of Brian Schottenheimer as a possible new OC for the St. Louis Rams. I've read a ton of posts here that are scalding to say the least about Schott's tenure as the Jets OC? I know he didn't start out that way with the Jets, helping the team to the playoffs twice, so what happened? Where did he go wrong?
Is he guilty of a failure to change or adapt the offense each year as players were added or subtracted, or did he lose the player's respect for some reason, as if so - How?
Why did the Jets O fall off so much this season?
Was there a personality conflict with Sanchez?
Is Schott a good mgr of his position coaches?
At what point did Jets fans decide he was a bad OC and why?
Any help in answering my queries would be greatly appreciated, and I'll be quoting usable insights back to the authors.
The very best to the New York Jets in 2012!
