John Conner Misses Practice
Starting fullback John Conner was held out of practice today with an injury.
Conner, who sprained his ankle in the third preseason game, came out to the practice field but worked with trainers on the side. He does not appear to still be using the walking boot coach Rex Ryan said he wore last week.
Conner is the only fullback on the roster. If he cannot go Sunday, one could only imagine the Jets will use more single back sets than they otherwise might. Blocking tight end Matthew Mulligan would be the logical choice when the Jets feel they do need to go with a lead blocker.
Ankle sprains can be tricky. We will only find out Conner's status for the Cowboys later in the week once it is determined how far along the ankle has healed. It sure would be nice to see him sealing guys for Shonn Greene come Sunday.

I hope he gets better and plays...
I have a sinking feeling that if he doesn’t play that means we’re gonna see a lot more of Tomlinson than I want to see. And I don’t like his chances against Dallas’s front-7 at all.

lets just be honest
FB are a dime a dozen unless ur ovie from atlanta or vontae leech….. i remeber hearing most backs prefer being by themselves…… Its not a big deal but i hope he gets healthy.

Unfortunately 2 TEs for us means
Matt Mulligan instead of Cumberland. Man I hope I’m wrong about that.
