Jets Overcome Early Mistakes, Rout Jaguars

The Jets' first half was not a thing of beauty, but they did enough to coast to an easy 32-3 win over the Jaguars. The defense got back on track in a big way after a rough opener. Jacksonville's only points were on a 55 yard field goal. The unit made Luke McCown's carriage turn into a pumpkin after a decent opener.

This was not the most crisp effort. There were many penalties and other miscues, but this was the kind of opponent a team can get away with it against. This was the kind of opponent the Jets let hang around in the last minute a year ago. This one was never in danger in the fourth quarter.

There is plenty to fix, but the Jets are 2-0. Now they head to Oakland before the rubber really starts to hit the road. Hope Nick Mangold is all right.

The official recap will be up in a bit. Celebrate below.
