Talking Points Announcers Will Beat Into the Ground Today
Expect to hear some of these comments from the CBS broadcast booth this week.
You know, Jets head coach Rex Ryan and Jaguars Jack Del Rio used to work together as assistants on Brian Billick's staff with the Baltimore Ravens. They are still good friends (as shot of Ryan and Del Rio talking before the game plays on the screen).
You know, Drew Coleman was with the Jets last season. He signed with the Jaguars as a free agent.
You know, Dwight Lowery was with the Jets last season. He was traded to the Jaguars at the end of the preseason this year.
You know, Jets backup quarterback Mark Brunell used to be the starting quarterback with the Jaguars. He led them to two AFC Championship Games.
You know, Jaguars wide receiver Jason Hill called Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis overrated this week, and Revis replied that he did not even know who Hill was.

You know, Brunell was the backup to Brett Favre in GB
Brett Favre would go on to play for the Jets. Jay Fiedler was the backup to Brunell in Jacks, after Miami, Fiedler would go on to be the backup for the Jets and then the starter. Now Brunell is the backup in New York. And BTW across town in NY, is Brunell’s former coach from Jacks, Tom Coughlin.
(on a side note, none of last weeks predictions came thru)
That just isn’t true.

Which ones? It seemed to me like they didn't talk much at all. It was 9/11 and then the game started.

They beat the Rex/Rob thing into the ground.
BTW…don’t take this post so seriously. It’s a half-joking making fun of lazy announcers kind of post.

Oh, of course. I made my guesses in the last thread for fun too.
I guessed almost correctly that Romo would hit the ground nearly 12 times. But I was paying attention and maybe because the game got underway quickly and was exciting, they laid off the banter surprisingly.
This week could be different as it might be slower paced.
