The Weather tonight is perfect for football. No rain, and temperatures should hover around 70 degrees all game. NOTE FOR FANS IN THE UPPER DECK: this should be cold enough to not have to deal with the moth infestation that crowds around the lights at night normally in the preseason, just wanted to give you fair warning.
If your driving to the game there should be no need to worry about finding a parking spot since it is a Thursday night, and it’s the fourth preseason game. However if coming from anywhere other then NJ there will be rush hour traffic getting out of the City, leave extra time for that.
Even though it’s a preseason game you still have to park by PSL if you have a green you can park anywhere, if you have a yellow you can park in yellow or orange, if you have an orange you will mostly likely join me somewhere near the IZOD Center, but then again these spots are the easiest to get out of the stadium parking lot with.
The train will be available, as NJ Transit is up and running after Hurricane Irene. From the city its one stop at Secaucus and then a 10-minute ride to the stadium, pretty convenient. Trains depart frequently and it should be easy to get on a return train back since there won’t be a big crowd.
The Jets pregame experience outside of the stadium is extremely weak, other then listening to the pregame show there isn’t anything else really, so don’t think you have to leave your tailgate early in order to seek up the pregame ambience.
